The Story

The Ojo de Luna Earrings feature a hand crowned by a crescent moon, with an all-seeing eye at the center — each detail etched by hand using the traditional martillado hammering technique. Bold, symbolic, and entirely one of a kind, these earrings carry intention with every wear. All materials are sourced in Mexico and are worked by skilled master artisans. Each design is carefully handcrafted and one-of-a-kind!

Details
  • Materials: Tumbaga gold, an alloy composed of gold and copper
  • Care Instructions: This item should be kept in a dry space when not being worn. The jewelry may develop a natural patina that can be cleaned.
About the Technique

For this collection, Tita worked with two artisans: a goldsmith and a welder. The skilled artisan uses an artisanal method passed down for generations: martillado. This technique requires the artisan to use hammers of different shapes, sizes, and weights, depending on the alloy, the object's size, or the phase of the work. In addition, stone chisels are used to outline and adorn the object's final shape.
