The Story

This is a beautiful traditional huipil made in San Melchor Betaza, Oaxaca. Each piece features a series rhombuses embroidered throughout the front and back. The shape each huipil carries is  also known as "butterflies" and created to form a symbol that represents dawn.

Details
  • Cloth: 100% Manta cotton
  • Elaboration time: 3 days
  • Technique: The shape of rhombus are achieved by guiding each stitch using an industrial  machine .
  • Care: Wash by hand, do not wring, and do not use bleach.
